Launched in 2007, London Overground has received significant investment through a concession led by Transport for London (TfL). This investment has delivered: new trains, upgraded stations, increased services, improved customer satisfaction and reduced fare evasion alongside rapid passenger growth. Arriva Rail London (ARL) has operated London Overground since 2016 and plays a vital role in achieving TfL’s ambitious plans. ARL and TfL are forging a close strategic and working relationship to deliver the Mayor of London’s transport vision. This presentation provides background on the concession model, contractual structure and relationships that enable success.
