Le présent bulletin annule et remplace le Bulletin #30 – Message de la SAAQ, publié le 12 juin 2020 concernant l’autorisation temporaire pour l’enseignement des PESR.
En raison de la situation exceptionnelle qu’entraîne la COVID-19, la Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) a décidé d’autoriser temporairement les candidats formateurs à enseigner les programmes d’éducation à la sécurité routière des classes 5 et 6 avant d’avoir réussi l’examen théorique et l’évaluation finale pour être reconnus à titre de moniteur ou d’instructeur.
Voici les étapes pour bénéficier de cette autorisation temporaire :
- Le candidat formateur doit préalablement avoir rempli les conditions suivantes :
- Respecter les conditions d’admissibilité d’un candidat formateur prévues à l’article 2.24 des Exigences détaillées (Exigences)
- Avoir complété la formation et les observations théoriques en lien avec la reconnaissance visée
- Avoir complété l’enseignement sous supervision
- Avoir respecté le parcours de formation établi
- L’école doit transmettre à l’AQTr le cahier des activités du candidat formateur dûment complété et signé.
- À la réception du cahier des activités, l’AQTr émettra une autorisation temporaire au candidat formateur lui permettant d’enseigner, et ce, pour une durée maximale de 90 jours allant au plus tard jusqu’au 14 décembre 2020.
- Durant cette période, l’AQTr analysera le cahier des activités et planifiera par la suite l’examen théorique et l’évaluation finale du candidat formateur.
- Le candidat formateur aura droit à deux possibilités de reprise pour l’examen théorique et à deux possibilités de reprise pour l’évaluation finale avant la date de fin de son autorisation temporaire.
Une seule modification ou annulation de rendez-vous sera possible auprès de l’AQTr. Advenant une deuxième modification ou annulation d’un rendez-vous, soit pour l’examen théorique ou l’évaluation finale, ceci mènera au retrait de l’autorisation. Une absence de réponse dans les 48 heures ouvrables à une offre de rendez-vous sera considérée comme une annulation.
À noter qu’une école qui emploie un candidat formateur bénéficiant de cette autorisation temporaire sera considérée être conforme à l’article 2.22 des Exigences.
News Bulletin # 32 – 2020: Message from the SAAQ – Training Instructors’ Training – Temporary Authorization for the Teaching of the RSEP
This news bulletin cancels and replaces News Bulletin #30 - Message from the SAAQ, published on June 12th, 2020 regarding the temporary authorization for the teaching of the RSEP.
Due to the exceptional situation related to COVID-19, the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) has decided to temporarily authorize in-car and in-class instructor candidates to teach Class 5 and Class 6 Road Safety Education Programs before they have successfully passed the knowledge test and final evaluation to be recognized as an in-car or in-class training instructor.
Here are the steps to benefit from this temporary authorization:
- The candidate instructor must first have fulfilled the following conditions:
- Meet the eligibility requirements for a candidate instructor, as stated in section 2.24 of the Detailed Requirements (Requirements)
- Have completed the training and theoretical observations related to the targeted recognition
- Have completed the supervised teaching sessions
- Have respected the established training path
- The school must forward the completed and signed Candidate Instructor Activity Book to the AQTr.
- Upon receipt of the activity book, the AQTr will issue a temporary authorization to the candidate instructor for him or her to teach the RSEP, and this for a maximum of 90 days until December 14, 2020 at the latest.
- During this period, the AQTr will analyze the workbook and subsequently schedule the knowledge test and final evaluation of the candidate instructor.
- The candidate instructor will be entitled to two opportunities to retake the knowledge test and to two opportunities to retake the final evaluation before the end date of his or her temporary authorization.
It will be possible to make only one change or cancellation of an appointment with the AQTr. A second change or cancellation of an appointment, either for the knowledge test or the final evaluation, will lead to the withdrawal of the authorization. Failure to respond within 48 business hours to an appointment offer will be considered as a cancellation.
Note that a school employing a candidate instructor who holds this temporary authorization will be considered as compliant with section 2.22 of the Requirements.
