Foothill Transit, a transit agency in the Los Angeles region of the United States, operates the largest electric bus fleet in the nation. In this conference, Andrew Papson will discuss the history of Foothill Transit’s Electric Bus Program. Andrew will present how the program got started and the partnership necessary in the design and implementation of a charging facility. In addition, Andrew will provide the future plans of the program. He will also share the challenges and successes in operating the electric bus fleet. Lastly, the presentation will discuss favorable scenarios for electric bus deployments in transit fleets.
