Informations aux élèves et invitation au soutien des écoles environnantes
Le présent bulletin vise à vous informer que, le 3 décembre 2020, la Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) a temporairement suspendu, jusqu’au 31 janvier 2021 inclusivement, le certificat de reconnaissance de l’École de conduite Jade (A124), située au 1625, boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest, bureau 407, Montréal (Québec) H3H 2N4, lui autorisant à dispenser le Programme d’éducation à la sécurité routière – Auto.
Nous comprenons que cette suspension puisse causer des problèmes aux élèves n’ayant pas complété leur formation et nous en sommes désolés.
Dans une telle situation, l’élève peut choisir d’attendre la fin de la suspension, soit le 1er février 2021, pour poursuivre son cours au même endroit où il peut faire des démarches pour se relocaliser et se faire rembourser les sommes qui lui seraient dues sur la base du contrat qu’il a signé avec l’école.
Si l’élève choisi de poursuivre sa formation auprès d’une autre école, il peut récupérer son attestation directement à l’École de conduite Jade, en communiquant avec les personnes responsables. Nous invitons ces élèves à consulter l’Association québécoise des transports (AQTr) pour trouver une autre école reconnue.
Ainsi, nous sollicitons la collaboration des écoles environnantes à l’égard d’un élève qui voudrait poursuivre sa formation sans tarder. Nous suggérons à ces écoles de :
- Accueillir l’élève et lui permettre de poursuivre sa formation à partir de là où il était rendu, sur présentation de son carnet d’accès à la route et d’une copie de son attestation de cours.
- Facturer à l’élève le montant correspondant à la partie de la formation qui lui reste à faire. Il convient à ce sujet de rappeler que le Règlement sur les permis établit à 937 $ le montant maximum exigible pour suivre le cours de conduite visé par la classe 5 de permis de conduire.
- Permettre à l’élève d’utiliser le matériel pédagogique qu’il aura déjà en sa possession.
Nous comptons sur les écoles pour accueillir les élèves concernés, compte tenu des circonstances.
News Bulletin # 51 – 2020: Message from the SAAQ – Suspension of the Certificate of the Recognition of Jade Driving School (A124)
Information to Students and Neighbouring Schools
This news bulletin is to inform you that, on December 3rd, 2020, the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) has temporarily suspended, until January 31st, 2021 inclusively, the certificate of recognition of Jade Driving School (A124), located at 1625, boulevard De Maisonneuve Ouest, bureau 407, Montréal (Québec) H3H 2N4, which authorized the school to dispense the Road Safety Education Program – Auto.
We understand and regret that this suspension may cause inconveniences to the students who have not completed their Program.
In such a situation, students can either choose to wait for the end of the suspension (i.e. February 1st, 2021) to pursue their classes at the same driving school or take the necessary steps to relocate and be reimbursed for any amounts owing under the signed contract with the school.
Should the students choose to pursue their training Program with a different school, they can contact the person in charge of Jade Driving School and directly collect their driving course attestation from there. We invite these students to contact the Association québécoise des transports (AQTr) to find another recognized school.
Therefore, we ask for the neighboring recognized schools’ collaboration with regard to students who would like to continue their training without delay. Concretely, we invite these schools to:
- Welcome the students and allow them to resume their training from where they left off, on presentation of their road access binder and a copy of their course attestation;
- Invoice the students for the amount corresponding to the portion of the training left to be completed. In this regard, it should be noted that the Regulation respecting licences sets at $937 the maximum amount required to take the Class 5 driver's licence course.
- Allow the students to use the educational material they already have in their possession.
Given the circumstances, we are counting on the schools to accommodate the affected students and give them their full support.
